The machina board will signal if a pendulum is swinging yes or no, and which of the four corners the pendulum is held over. With some instruction on how to use a pendulum, a participant is turned into an unwitting assistant, providing you with all the information that you need to give a truly memorable performance. With the four corners the participant can indicate to you a season, an emotion, or a person present, all without knowing that they have done so. Then use the yes or no indicator to hone in on their specific thoughts, allowing the performer to give truly insightful readings with a turned back, watching their own pendulum mirror that of the spectator!

Or insert the fitted piece of slate and use Machina as a mobile telepathic chalk board, sending you secret knowledge as a spectator writes, circles a word, or answers questions. The slate can be divided into four quadrants with chalk and various things written in each quadrant; the board will signal which quadrant is being written in or which one the pendulum is over.
